Preparation

Fill a stemmed glass with ice and let it sit to chill. In a shaker, combine the ingredients and shake with ice until chilled. Discard the ice from the stemmed glass, shaking out excess water. Strain the contents of the shaker into the chilled glass.

The Stargazer balances tropical brightness against a complex herbal backbone. Pineapple and cherry brandy provide an initial fruitiness that quickly gives way to the bittersweet edge of Aperol and the cool, anise-driven depth of absinthe. The rum anchors the drink with subtle warmth, while the finish lingers with a faint licorice whisper.
