Preparation
Combine ingredients in a mixing glass with ice and stir until chilled. Lightly shaken the heavy cream so a droplet beads up on you finger and doesn't run before adding to top of cocktail.

The Pelican is rich, cooling, and unapologetically bold, built on equal parts coffee liqueur, Branca Menta, and Fernet-Branca. Bitter herbal intensity and dark roast coffee flavors are softened by the minty lift of Branca Menta, while a float of heavy cream adds a lush, dessert-like contrast. It drinks dark, bracing, and indulgent, with a striking balance of bitterness, mint, and cream.
