La Lucha Sigue puts a Mexican spin on the classic Boulevardier template, swapping bourbon for añejo tequila and adding a disorienting whisper of absinthe. The aged tequila's caramel and oak notes anchor the drink while the vermouth and amaro provide familiar bittersweet depth, but it's the anise undercurrent that keeps you off balance—just present enough to complicate each sip. The result is earthy, herbaceous, and subtly defiant.
