Preparation
Fill a rocks glass with crushed ice. In a mixing glass, combine the absinthe, water, and Crème Yvette with cracked or cubed ice and stir until chilled. Strain the contents of the mixing glass into the ice-filled rocks glass. Top with the bitters and flowers, if desired.

The Necromancer pairs absinthe's herbal intensity with the delicate floral notes of crème de violette, creating a drink that balances botanical complexity with subtle sweetness. The light dilution softens the spirit's bite while preserving its characteristic anise backbone. Dashes of Peychaud's bitters on top add a whisper of cherry and spice to each sip, lending the pale violet drink an aromatic lift.
