The carajillo, a Spanish coffee drink with roots in colonial Cuba, gets a Mexican accent here with reposado tequila joining the traditional Licor 43 and espresso pairing. The vanilla and citrus notes of the Spanish liqueur meld with the tequila's oak-aged warmth, while fresh espresso provides bitter backbone and aromatic intensity. It drinks rich and slightly sweet, with the agave spirit adding an earthy complexity that cuts through the coffee's roasted edge.
